DESIGN PROCESS

How did the design of the NEST came to be?

Like all good ideas, it came from a personal perspective and curiosity about life. To be more specific about the loss of intimacy, deep connections, friends, partners. About the lack and declining rates of happiness, feeling connected to each other, and the rise of loniness.

I wanted a piece of furniture that challenged the very static sofa, in which we spend most of our free time. It started as an investigation into erotic intimacy, but quickly became much bigger than this.
